STILL LIFE
Ordinary things and objects from nature bring out the most tender feelings in me. When I paint them I feel they are telling me a very human story. They have experienced ups and downs. They might feel a bit tired, unappreciated, or misused. But a moment of light comes and they are magically transformed. They are revealed to be noble, courageous and proud. Their value is in the life they have lived, which is priceless beyond mere beauty.
